Whyvonne Isuza was the main man at Mathare United FC end-of-season awards by scooping the Best Player Award and Best Midfielder award at a ceremony conducted this afternoon at a Nairobi Hotel.

Among others awarded was George Owino who went home with Ksh 85,000 after being snubbed in the annual KPL awards.Owino had a perfect seaseon with slum boys and was named the best defender as well as the player who amassed most minutes in the 2016 campaign.

Adrew Juma was also rewarded for his breakthrough season with  Most Improved Player award  pocketing a lovely Kshs 40,000 as well as Robert Mboya who scooped Best Goalkeeper award.

His compatriot Obadiah Ndege took home the top scorers award.Other eight players were awarded with Best Community service award and all pocketed Ksh 5,000 each.

Most Minutes Played: George Owino
Most Improved Young Player: Andrew Juma
Best Community Service: David Mwangi, Daniel Mwaura, Alphonce Ndonye, Peter Odhiambo, Lennox Ogutu, Vincent Okello, Derrick Onyango, George Owino (the eight players each received Ksh 5,000 to make a total of Ksh 40,000 reserved for this category)
Most Goals/Assists: Obadiah Ndege
Best Player/Fairplay: Whyvonne Isuza
