Woldia Sport Club and Addis Ababa City Football Club have grabbed the last two promotion slots in the new look 2016/17 Ethiopian Premier League.
Woldia is making a come back to the top league from the Ethiopian Super League after one year in the cold.
The team gained promotion to the EPL initially in the 2014/15 season, the same period they got relegated. However, that did not dampen their spirits as they settled fast in the second tier league and worked their way back again.
Woldia will play home matches at newly constructed Sheikh Mohammed Ali Almoudi Stadium in the city of Woldia.
Addis Ababa City FC will be gracing the EPL for the first time in their short five-year existence. The team was established as the capital Addis marked 125 years since formation.
The expanded 16-team 2016/17 EPL is now complete. The other two new comers are; Fasil Kenema FC and Jimma Ababa Buna FC.
