Burkina Faso striker Yacouba Sogne has finally left Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko following the expiration of his contract.
The 29-year-old has been the subject interest from many teams in Africa and Europe amidst a standoff between the player and the club.
Yacouba turned down several contract extension talks with the porcupine Warriors as many clubs lined up including Zesco United who showed interest in the player in 2019.
Yacouba joined the Kotoko on a two-year deal after successful trials in 2018 and was an instant favorite at the club.
He demanded for $150,000 before renewal his contract with the Ghanian giants, which the club failed to meet and the player has since left as a free agent.
