Dar es salaam giants Young Africans may face the wrath of CAF after it emerged that their fans caused chaos throwing missiles in their CAF Confederations group match against TP Mazembe.

CAF had warned Yanga not to surpass the 40,000 limit but the Yanga administration decided to make the entry charges free allowing more than 60,000 fans at the National stadium.

The ensuing chaotic scenes resulted into damages at the stadium where a rough estimate of the damages is being determined by the federation.

On June 18th this year, CAF disqualified Algerian side Entente Serif from the group stage of the champions league after disrupting their match against visiting South African side Mamelodi Sundowns.

TFF president Jamal Malinzi reiterated his stand that Yanga did not go with the resolution made during a pre match meeting on Friday 23rd at the National stadium where an agreement to have not more than 40,000 fans.Another meeting done on 27th June 2016 at the Coral Beach hotel in Masaki between Yanga,TP Mazembe and CAF match commissioner however agreed to Yanga’s request to have fans get to the stadium without paying.

Yanga are winless in their two matches losing by an identical scoreline of 1-0 away in MO Bejaia and 0-1at home to TP Mazembe.
