Defending Tanzanian Mainland Vodacom league champions Yanga today began training for the upcoming CECAFA club championship(Kagame Cup) and the start of the 2015/16 Vodacom Premier league.
The Kagame Cup will begin on 11th July 2015 in Dar es Salaam.
Dutch coach Hans Van der Pluijm jetted in yesterday and began training with the few players who were available as most players are with the senior team( Taifa Stars) who will play Egypt in a CAF AFCON 2017 qualifier in Suez.
Pluijm showed up in training today and started light training sessions at the Karume Memorial stadium in Dar es salaam city.
He is optimistic to have a full camp by 16th June.Already Liberian import Kpah Sherman is expected today.
In the meantime Yanga are still waiting for a TFF report on whether to have 10 foreign based players as rewuested earlier.
” We are ready to unleash our 10 foreign players anytime,this is only possible if TFF says so ” Yanga Secretary General Dr. Jonas Tiboroha said.
