Yanga SC coach denies links with move for Kenya defender Mohammed

Young Africans SC head coach Luc Eymael has denied reports linking the club with a move for Nkana FC captain Musa Mohammed.

Eyamel has labeled the news as just rumours being peddled by Musa Mohammed and his agent.

The man in charge of the Jangwani Boys has moved to dispel the reports claiming he would be having the Kenyan international and former Gor Mahia centre-half under his ranks.

“It is not true, those are just rumours from his [Mohammed] agent and there is nothing like that, it will not happen.” the Belgian told Goal.

The 26-year Nkana defender was earlier this week quoted by Goal.com confirming advancing talks between his entourage and the Tanzanian giants who are reportedly set to go on a shopping spree in the next transfer window.

“Yanga are still negotiating with my agent and so we can just wait and see how the talks will proceed. It is just my hope everything will turn positive,” Mohammed said.

Mohammed has been one of the most consistent performers at Nkana since his arrival at the club in June, 2018 and earned himself the captains armband.

He went on to win his first trophy with Aba Red by scooping the Barclays Cup in his debut season.
