Simba fans will put on Mazembe replicas and instead cheer the 2015 CAF Champions League winners when they take on rivals Yanga in an anticipated explosive high octane match on Tuesday at the National stadium in Dar.
Earlier on, an attempt by the Yanga management to have only Yanga fans attend the match were thwarted by the Country’s football governing body TFF.
Yanga are desperate to register their first win after losing 0-1 away at Bejaia.
They are however sceptical of the rowdy noisy Simba fans who are determined to ensure they make Mazembe feel at home.
Simba Sport Club Media officer Manasa Haji said that it’s not news their fans putting on the Mazembe jerseys.
‘In 2011 Yanga fans put on Mazembe jerseys cheering the Congo DR side when we met in a CAF Champions League match in Dar, I therefore don’t see anything new in this’ Haji told soka25east.
Yanga who are enjoying their fine for in recent years are rallying their fans when they meet the Congolese giants with an aim of registering their first victory.
The other teams in the group are Medeama of Ghana and Algerian side MO Bejaia.
