Visiting Mtwara based side Ndanda FC got a valuable point from champions Yanga in an entertaining Vodacom rescheduled match played today evening at the National Stadium in Dar es salaam.
The match that ended 2-2 effectively earned the already declared champions 72 points heading into their last league encounter in Songea against Majimaji
In the match handled by Morogoro referee Selemani Kigimani, the hosts scored first from the spot through Omary Mponda after Juma Abdul brought down Ndanda ‘s Atupele Green.
The lead did not last long as the Champions equalized in the 36th minute through last season’s top scorer Simon Msuva before Zimbabwean Donald Ngoma put the hosts in front after a fine pass from left back Mwinyi Haji Mngwali.
In the second half Yanga coach Hans Plujim rested Mwinyi Mngwali for Oscar Joshua while Ahmed Msumi got on for Riffat Hamisi on the Ndanda side.
Ndanda pile pressure with the additions and got the equalizer on the 79th minute through Mineli Salum.
