Azam FC made a mark in the ongoing Mapinduzi cup in Zanzibar when they sliced Young Africans 4-0 in the semi final of the annual competition

This record win and the heaviest defeat perhaps this season for coach George Lwandamina is a wake up call for the Jangwani side that looked lethargic at goal and shaky in defense

Azam started swinging in the goals when John Bocco scored in the 2nd minute of the game.

His goal stood for the first half of the match

The second half was terrifying for the defending champions as the Joe creamers led by stand in coach Idd ‘Cheche’ made changes that proved vital for the chamazi side

Dependable winger Joseph Mahindi who has been sidelined due to injury came alive in the match scoring the third goal in the 80th minute after Ghanaian import Yahya Mohammed had made it two in the 54 to minute

Coach Idd brought in Enock Atta who did not disappoint as his 84th minute goal killed any hopes of a Yanga come back.

Coach George Lwandamina on his part decided to take off Zambian Justine Zulu for Said Makapu and Zimbabwean Thabani Kamusoko for Deus Kaseke

Both teams have made the semi finals
