Ugandan Yasser Mugerwa and Ethiopian Premier League champions St. George FC have agreed to part ways mutually.

Without delving much into why he made the decision less than a year into his two-year deal with the Addis Ababa giants, Mugerwa, 22, cited “personal issues with the club.”

The former Sports Club Victoria and URA midfielder intimated to Soka25east that he is negotiating his next move after receiving offers from other teams.

“Yes I have teams chasing my signature. I already informed the club and they gave me the go ahead. If I reach an agreement with any then I will leave.”

Soka25east has reliably established that Mugerwa is highly likely to crossover to Wolaita Dicha for a record transfer fee.

Dicha won the Ethiopian Cup and are bolstering their squad ahead of next year’s CAF Confederations Cup campaign.

Mugerwa joined the Horsemen in September last year after being released by Soweto giants Orlando Pirates. In his first season, he managed to help St. George to lift a record 14th EPL title.

It was during the same period that the club qualified for the CAF Champions League group stage for the first time in their illustrious history.
