Dar es salaam giants Young Africans today have extended their lead at the top to seven points temporarily after a hard fought 1-2 away victory at Toto Africans.
The match played at a well attended CCM Kirumba Stadium in the lake side city of Mwanza saw the hosts take the lead courtesy of William Kimanzi. Earlier on Oscar Joshua missed a golden opportunity to to put the hosts ahead after his long range shot aimed at the keeper was parried away.
Yanga came back strongly in the second half dictating proceedings and in the 58th minute, Burundian international Amiss Tambwe scored his 19th goal of the season to draw matters level.
Toto Africans pushed forward to get an equalizer but defender Juma Abdul broke the hearts of the home fans when he scored the winning goal.
