Egyptian giants Zamalek have sacked manager Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević after just 4 months in charge following a poor run of form.
The White Knights suffered two consecutive defeat from Enppi (2-1) in the Egyptian League and from TP Mazembe (3-0). The Whites’ board of directors settled on appointing Essam Marei as an interim manager.
On August 18, Zamalek named Micho as a new head coach as the Serbian coach signed a one-year deal with the Whites.
Micho, who joined Zamalek after terminating his contract with Orlando Pirates F.C, was the third choice for the Whites’ board of directors after the Portuguese manager Jesualdo Ferreira and the Argentine coach Ramón Ángel Díaz.
