Portuguese coach Augusto Inacio is in talks with Egypt Premier League (EPL) side Zamalek SC for position of head coach.
Zamalek has not had a head coach since parting ways with Mohamed Helmy after the 2-0 loss to Smouha.
“Inacio arrived yesterday in Egypt to meet the bosses of Zamalek but nothing has been agreed yet. In a few days we will know what will happen but the truth is that we are in talks,”said the source close to the manager.
Apart from the former Moreirense tactician, other coaches including former Zamalek coach Mohammed Salah have also expressed interest in the job.
Another club official who did not want to be named however said Inacio, a former Portugal international would be unveiled today.
Zamalek lie third in the Egyptian Premier League table with 40 points, a massive 15 behind leaders Ahly who have played one match more.
