The Chipolopolo will on October 11, 2015 play the Egyptian soccer team in an international friendly slated for Dubai. This match is in line with the Association’s resolve to keep the Zambia National Soccer team active on every FIFA sanctioned date for International friendlies.
In view of this friendly, Coach George Lwandamina has summoned six foreign based professionals to join the team that will travel to the Middle East. The six are ;in-form Collins Mbesuma, Kennedy Mweene, Stoppila Sunzu, Lubambo Musonda, Rainford Kalaba, and Nathan Sinkala. The locally based players will converge in Lusaka on Sunday, October 4, to commence training for the Dubai assignment.
Zambia will use the said match to prepare for mainly the two assignments that are on the calendar this year. On Wednesday, November 11th, Zambia has a FIFA World Cup qualifier match against Sudan at the Khartoum Stadium, in Sudan. This match will kick off at 20.00 Sudanese time. And on October 17, Zambia will meet Mozambique in the first leg of the final qualifying round of the CHAN 2016 Rwanda finals at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
