The Chipolopolo will take on Uganda in an International friendly scheduled for Nambole stadium today Tuesday 8
November 2016 in Kampala.

This is in preparation for a FIFA World cup qualifier against Cameroon on November 12 2016 in Limbe.

Coach Wedson Nyirenda has trimmed his squad dropping eight local based players following a 1-0 loss in a friendly against Zimbabwe on Sunday.

Among the casualties is Winston Kalengo, Kelvin Mubanga and Richard Kasonde.

All foreign based players have joined the squad ahead of this afternoon’s game.

This is just a friendly but for Wedson Nyirenda, it is a chance to get his first win. The Chipolopolo have failed to win a competitive game since their victory against Kenya in an Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier on September 5 in 2015.

But it will not be easy for the Chipolopolo in Kampala.

They come up against a well drilled Uganda team that has Sundowns goalkeeper Dennis Onyango minding the sticks with Farouk Miya and Geoffrey Massa leading the attack.

The match is expected to kick off at 16:00 EAT
