On Saturday 29th September 2015 the city of kitwe came to a stand still as Kalampa Nkana Football Club travelled to Ndeke to face fierce rivals Powerful Power Dynamos in what is the biggest derby in the country.Power had not beaten Nkana in 6 league games coming into this match.
Power Dynamos took the lead in the 40th minute via Luka ‘Ichowa’ Lungu with a sublime headed goal.Nkana fought back and quickly got their reward when Fred TShimenga tapped in from close range to pull level 1-1.The game was very close call through out most of the second half.Luka ‘Ichowa’ Lungu got his brace in the 83rd minute with a superb strike.
For the first time in Zambian Football History Players exchanged Jersey’s after the match.Sources close to the two clubs Power and Nkana confirmed this to Puncherello Chama.Walter Bwalya and Luka Lungu exchanged the jersey’s and Kelvin mubanga with Shadreck Musonda.The officials said they had enough stock and hence allowed this which was a planned move.
Kenyan International David Owino Odhiambo scored the only goal of the game as Zesco United beat Konkola blades 1-0.Zesco have maintained their 7 point lead on the summit of the MTN/FAZ Super league.
