Zambia U20 National team head into the 2017 world cup as underdogs despite being African champions, Although that logic rarely applies in Football anymore. Their biggest consolation is that Ghana managed to win this tournament in 2009, So it is not out of their reach right?, Spartak Moscow striker Fashion Sakala thinks it’s junior Chipolopolo’s time.

” Zambia being part of the world cup is important for the country and players. This is a big tournament each and every country would like to win and when I look at our team I can’t find any weakness, the team is ready and on each position we are safe,” Fashion told Soka25east.com in an exclusive interview

Zambia where drawn in group C alongside Portugal, Iran and Costa Rica. On paper Iran looks like an outsider and an easy fixture for junior Chipolopolo but Sakala is aware of the threat every team poses but believes with devine intervention they will go far in this tournament.

” The entire group is tough there are no under dogs but we believe that we will do well by the grace of God,” he said.

The former Zanaco talisman says he is ready for the challenge ahead and dreams of reaching the final.

” Am ready for any game and my target is to go to the final and bring the trophy back home. When God says yes, no one can say no,” said the Moskva star

“I believe that we have a good team and we also have faith in God. All games are important for me as a player and I will never under rate any team. We need to face all the teams with a positive mind of winning,” he further added

The Zambia U20 National team is currently in Spain for a 10 day training camp and are expected to play their first friendly match today. If Zambia wins the tournament, they become only the second African country to do so after Ghana’s exploits in 2009.
