They have their first choice……
A quick analysis of the teams that are at the CHAN 2018, and you realise that Zambia and Namibia are the two teams that have probaby their first national team players at this year’s tournament.
The players we have deployed are the cream we have and the same players we shall be using in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers. And are the same we have been using in our national team assignments in the recent past.
We add Patson Daka, Kennedy Mweene, Enock Mwepu and perhaps Emmanuel Banda and we have the first choice National Team.
The bench would still have Rodrick Kabwe, Chisamba Lungu and the rest.
So this is our best team and our best should show the best in tournaments like this one.
It gives us a reality check that we have a lot of work to do and Wedson has to continue building without ceasing.
Unlike Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Morroco who are using the tournament to build their future teams, ours is to grab it. Which I support because we shouldn’t be experimenting especially that we have never won this competition.
I expect a team that is able to stamp authority and show that they have been playing together for a long time.
Zambia can do better than what we have seen so far playing against teams that are building while we have our best national team.
