ZSL’S MOST COMPLETE STRIKER IN 2018 SO FAR
The 24-year-old Congolese international remains in incredible form for Nkana and is already the best frontman around in some aspects
I have not watched all games with all strikers but I think Idriss Mbombo is the Zambia Super League’s “most complete striker” and the natural successor to Chris Mugalu if he doesn’t rediscover his form soonest .

Idriss has now played for Kabwe Warriors, ZESCO United and now Nkana were he has not disappointed.
Before Week Twelve, the Congolese striker is already top of the goal chart this season with seven strikes in the Zambian top flight and he also scored in the Community shield.
Nkana followers and the Executive should be proud of this signing and the President of the club came out clear before the kick off of the league that he had fought battles with other South African clubs and evidence of his performance so far, the battles were worth it.
I know we seem to have good strikers in high competition this season, Emmanuel Okutu and Herritier Nkonko on Kabwe for Warriors, Chris Mugalu at Lusaka Dynamos, Kobe Chipeta at Forest Rangers , but I believes it is the Nkana star who is already No.1 in some respects.
He has had an incredible development and gets better every season. Am looking at his Passing, heading, shooting technique, dribbling, finishing, while Mbombo is not perfect, in any of these areas, he can do something exceptional and has no weaknesses at all. That makes him the most complete striker in the league at the moment
He carries Nkana with his heart. But Mbombo is a thoroughbred professional and always wants the maximum success.
Nkana take on Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy on Sunday and you wouldn’t be wrong to bet that Iddriss will be one of the scorers in that game if we shall have the goals.
The gray area is he needs to improve his frustrations if things are not going his way, that’s his big weakness and it’s that which led him out if ZESCO United for a brief stint in Asia before finally coming back in the ZSL to join Nkana.
For now everything is in apple pie order for the Nkana striker and his goals will get the Wusakile team great points worthy celebrating.
