The MTN/FAZ super league entered week 22 with twelve time Champions Nkana taking on one of the season’s best performing teams Napsa Stars.The big news on the day was the return of Striker Heritier Walter Binene Sabwa Bwalya who was facing disciplinary among other sanctions from FAZ.
Bwalya was playing without a valid International Transfer Certificate (ITC) which can managed to get and clear the issue with FAZ but it’s unclear whether he has been cleared from all the cases that were before the Association.
Nkana started the match very strong missing alot of chances but Ronald Sate Sate Kampamba scored the only goal of the match in the 54th minute. Bwalya who was the captain on the day missed a penalty late on in the match. Their opponents missed the services of midfielder Collins Sikombe who was on national duty with Chipolopolo.
At Edwin Emboela stadium in Lusaka, Nkwazi came back from a goal down to hold Power Dynamos . Former FC Mounana Striker Alex Ngonga put Power in the lead barely 7 minutes into the match.
U17 national team striker Lameck Banda equalised for Nkwazi in the 23rd minute. The COSAFA U17 Championships joint top goalscorer was a marvel on the day and gave Power Dynamos defence a tough time.
Red Arrows football club welcomed bottom of log landlords Real Nakonde at Nkoloma Stadium. Patrick Ngoma, George Simbayambaya and Bruce Musakanya all found the back of the net to hand the Banana boys the heaviest defeat of the day.
In Mufurila, Wanderers held defending champions Sensational Zanaco to a 1 all draw with Joseph Kanema and Felix Nyaende getting the goals for their respective clubs. Zanaco drawn all of their last three games .
