The Zambia U-20 men’s national team held a training session at the La Matanza Training Club on Thursday morning. This is according to a post on the Football Association of Zambia’s official Facebook page
The afternoon training session was held at Estadio de Tenerife, the home ground of Club Deportivo Tenerife.
The 2016 COSAFA U20 champions took time off their busy schedule to pay a courtesy call on His Worship Juan Ignacio, Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.
While on Canary Islands, Spain, the team has a tentative program to play the following practice matches:
1. Sunday, 29th January – vs FC Basel (Subject to Confirmation)
2. Tuesday, 31st January – vs Tenerife U20
3. Thursday 2nd February – vs Las Palmas U20
4. Monday 6th February – vs Real Madrid U20
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is located on the Canary Islands which are off the coast of Morocco and the players have acclimatised well to the weather which is conducive for training.
