Zambia’s Chipolopolo team suffered a major setback in their preparations for the opening match of the 2015 AFCON against Guinea Bissau with the injuries of Defender Stoppila Sunzu and Evans Kangwa.
New coach George Lwandamina will have to change his game plan following the injury of the China based defender who limped off the pitch towards the end of a training session in Kitwe.
He had a knock at his knee from fellow defender Kapitsa Kayanze.He was forced to watch the match from the stands as Chipolopolo beat Ndola United 3-2 in a training match at the Levi Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola.Bornwell Mwape scored a brace with Nchanga Rangers striker Patson Daka scoring the other after he replaced Ronald Kampampa.
Apart from the injury to Sunzu, Hapoel Ra’ anana player Evans Kangwa is still doubtful for the match as he is nursing a strain to his left thigh and he is still being monitored.
Zambia welcomes Guinea Bissau on Saturday at the Levi Mwanawasa Stadium in the City of Ndola. Already the match official’s for the clash have been named; they are Helder de Carvalho from Angola as the centre referee assisted by Jerson dos Santos and Valdmiro Ntyamba both from Angola.
