After their ouster from the 2017 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Korea Republic, the Chipolopolo will arrive in the country on Wednesday.

The team failed to progress to the semi-finals of the competition after losing 3-2 on extra time to Italy following a 2-2 draw after normal time

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Communications Manager, Desmond Katongo, disclosed this on Monday that “we will leave Korea on Tuesday to arrive in Zambia on Wednesday.

The African champions had a memorable run having started their chase for glory with a 2-1 win over Portugal before beating Iran 4-2.

Zambia then lost to Costa Rica 1-0 before dumping out Germany in a thrilling 4-3 result and fell to Italy 3-2 after having put up a gallant fight.

It was the first time Zambia was playing in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The team has been on a roller coaster ride from the time they won the Cosafa Cup in December 2016 and the lifted the Africa Cup.
