REPORTS – Zambia U23 International Obrey Chirwa is expected in Tanzania Capital, Dar es Salaam on Friday to complete a move to heavyweights Yanga SC.
When sealed, the move is rumoured, will cost the 24-times league champions USD 120,000. The striker currently plays for FC Platinum of Zimbabwe in the Castle Lager Premiership.
Chirwa formerly of Kokonkola Blades in the Zambian Super League, has been in a tantalising form for Platinum, scoring fives times in eight league outings.
Yanga who are currently in camp in Antalya, Turkey ahead of Saturday’s CAF Confederations Cup clash with Algeria’s MO Bejaia – is home to another former FC Platinum striker Donald Ngoma.
The Coach Hans Van De Pluijm’s outfit has been strengthening since qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup group phase – they have recently signed Vincent “Dante” Andrew from Mtibwa Sugar FC in the Tanzanian Premier League.
