Zambia under-23 striker Ronald Kampamba has explained his delayed loan move from Wadi Degla to Belgium club Lierse.
Kampamba was expected to leave the Egyptian club at the start of the season to play for the Belgian second tier club on a 12-month deal but has remained in Cairo.
He said he expects to join Lierse during this winter transfer window.
“My international transfer certificate has already been sent to the Belgium Football Federation so I have not been playing in Egypt,” Kampamba told the media in Zambia.
“My transfer has been delayed because of the delay in issuing me a visa. Hopefully things can be concluded by next month.”
Kampamba joined Wadi Degla in January on a three-year deal after four seasons with the record 12-time Zambian league champions Nkana whom he inspired to the FAZ Super League title in 2013.
He won the Super League golden boot in 2012 and 2013 after scoring 15 and 18 goals respectively but was toppled on 14 goals by Jackson Mwanza of Zesco United to finish three behind the latter.
Kampamba is currently preparing to leave Senegal with the Zambia under-23 national team for the 2015 Caf Under-23 Cup where Young Chipolopolo made their tournament debut but exited in the preliminary group stage.Zambia
