Zesco United put four goals past visiting Horoya Ac of Guinea to win 4 – 1 in a CAF Champions League first round first leg match played at Levy Mwanawasa stadium.
George Lwandamina made a two changes to the team that won away in South Sudan as he brought in John Chingandu who scored in the game against Al Ghazala Wau and Jesse Were for Mwape Mwelwa and Jackson Mwanza respectively.
But it was Congolese striker Idriss Mbombo who opened the scores for Zesco in the 10th minute before Were repaid the faith from the coach by scoring a second in the 27th minute.
Zesco looked determined to wrap-up the tie at home as they added another in the 37th minute through Clatous Chama to go into the break with a 3 – 0 lead.
Substitute Maybin Mwaba made it 4 before Horoya pulled one back two minutes later through Orency Nandela.
The two teams meet in the return leg in Conakry next week.
