Super Division Champions Zanaco have arrived in the Eastern province to kick start their preseason training at the back of a mass player exodus.
The bankers have set up their base in Chipata and will be in the East for the next ten days where coach Numba and his technical bench are expected to drill the team ahead of their champions league tie against Army Patriotic Rwanda (APR) next month.
According to a statement on the club’s official Facebook page, the bankers will be training at David Kaunda Stadium.
The club will start life without influential players Salulani Phiri, Roderick Kabwe, Davy Daka, Fackson Kapumbu, Isaac Chansa and Aaron Katebe who have left trekked to various destinations for greener pastures.
Zanaco host APR on February 11, before the return leg set for Kigali seven days later.
Should they win over two legs, Zanaco will face either George Lwandamina’s Young Africans or Ngaya de Mbe of the Comoros.
