Zesco United have departed for Juba, South Sudan for the second leg Caf Champions League preliminary round match scheduled for Friday, February 26.
Zesco United have a 2 – 0 advantage from the first leg played on February 14 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola thanks to goals by Idriss Mbombo and Clatous Chama.
Coach George Lwandamina has included goalkeeper Jacob Banda and striker Jackson Mwanza who missed the first leg in Ndola a fortnight ago.
Goalkeeper Brown Nyirenda and midfielder Kasashi Lupiya who were unused substitutes in the first leg did not make the trip.
Zesco United Media and Public Relations Officer Katebe Chengo told fazfootball.com that the team departed for Juba aboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight.
“Zesco United has left for Juba, South Sudan for the CAF Champions league return league against Al Ghazala Wau scheduled for Friday 26th February aboard an Ethiopian Airlines plane,” Chengo said.
“The team is accompanied by Chairman Dennis Banda and player status committee chairman Charles Kalala.”
The winner of this tie over two legs will progress to the first round where they will face the winner of the tie between Horoya (Guinea) and AS Douanes (Senegal).
