Zesco lost away in Conakry this evening but still secured their last 16 passage to the 2016 CAF Champions League.
Zesco lost 2-0 to Horoya but advanced 4-3 on aggregate to next months pre-group stage.
Two first half penalties by Daouda Camara handed Horoya the win but it was not enough to cause an upset.
Zesco then suffered a major setback in the 44th minute when influential midfielder Cletus Chama was red carded.
George Lwandamina’s side will face Cotonsport of Cameroon away in the first leg next month.
Cotonsport advanced after a 1-0 home win over Stade Malien of Mali on Sunday to book their passage on away goals rule following a 2-1 away loss on March 13.
Winner of the last 16 tie will qualify for the Champions League group stage.
The loser will be relegated to the Confederation Cup for another chance at advancing to the league phase of the second tier competition.
