Zesco United fans last week were hit with news that their most valuable possession is leaving the levy Mwanawasa Stadium for Ittihad Alexandria in Egypt.
Cletus Chota Chama on sunday got two successive yellow Cards in the 67th minute to earn himself a send off. Zesco United was forced to play the remaining minutes with ten men.
So when he [clatus] was going back to the dressing room some fans decided to start throwing missiles at him to show their discontent which he also retaliated and threw one back. The fans are aggrieved that he has signed for an Egyptian out-fit and come january he will be leaving. You can’t blame the fans for being unhappy, it is cletus who is leaving but the missile throwing was out of line .
Zesco United still remains a dangerous opponent to face for any team despite Clatus Chota Chama leaving but his contribution will be missed. This is not the first time Zesco United is losing a key player as they lost their talisman just at the start of this season Winston Kalengo who opted to move to Congo Brazzaville.
Its only time that will tell whether he made the right decision to leave Zesco United for Ittihad and whether the fans will forgive their favourite player for putting his interest first.
