ZESCO TO MAP UP ZANACO ROUT

ZANACO are leading the pack in the Super league with 64 points opening up a 7 points lead from Nkana who are closest on 2nd point. While ZANACO fans may be celebrating that this is going their way, the defending champions ZESCO believe they can still defend the crown and get it three time on the bounce. In recent years ZANACO is believed to be a victim of ending seasons in poor forms and this is what could be giving some confidence to ZESCO United.

They have four games at home where they have not conceded a goal this season and three games away and one of those three may still be played at their home ground Sunset as NAPSA is using Sunset for their home games.

Truly everything looks to be going the BANKERS’ way, the total of points they are fighting for is 21 points and the big one without a doubt is the visit of ZESCO United at Sunset where in the recent past, this fixture has belonged to Jackson Mwanza and ZESCO has had an upper hand.

WEAKNESS: ZANACO look like they know what is chasing them and you could see the tension in the players coming towards the end of the season and this is not good for the team. They have been good at grinding results and that attitude should continue.

DANGER MAN: Midfield should continue using Fashion Sakala very well for more goals but one man will be crucial to have the league go to Sunset and that is ZIYO TEMBO. For me he is the player of the season and should ZANACO manage to bag this one, it will be Ziyo work rate at the heart of the defense for this ZANANCO side.

ZESCO UNITED

Zesco United know what to do to defend the title. Win the 13 games and they win the league. There is no doubt about that and that is what ZANACO will be looking at. ZESCO United have 13 games to play and winning those game to add up with the points that they have ZESCO United will end up on 85 Points. The initiative is actually with ZESCO and not with ZANACO.

The game between the two is now a key game because whoever wins that game and win the rest will become champion.
That’s it, you may have thought ZANACO is done and will be getting the title but if you look at these statistics, you better hold on and think twice, the league is still on and ZESCO United has actually a bigger say in the run in. ZESCO United should also improve their goal difference because it’s possible that these two teams may even end on same points.

WEAKNESS: ZESCO needs to improve going forward and putting up to fruition the chances that they create upfront. It’s easy to frustrate ZESCO United this season that ZANACO. If they don’t work on that ZANACO will close it up as champions.

DANGER MAN: JESSE WERE should keep his scoring boots on because I think this season is on him. Am a bit let down by Iddris Mbombo because I think he is not well focused and he looks frustrated in the ZESCO Team.

MY THOUGHTS
ZESCO will have a lot of work to do to catch up with ZANACO but should ZANACO lose that encounter against ZESCO at SUnset, the momentum could actually shift and thats what ZANACO dont want to do.

For now its one of these two that will win the League with ZANACO having an advantage because of the less number of games they have to play and the majority of the games being Lusaka if not one away to Mufulira Blackpool
