Zesco united Football club has cleared the air over the alleged 2 year deal signed by their head coach George “Chicken” Lwandamina with Yanga.
In a media statement issued by the club ,Lwandamina has a running contract with the club which ties him to the Ndola based club till january 2017.
The club states that Lwandamina is attending a family bereavement and being a professional he knows the implications of breaching a contract. Since joining Zesco united he has won two league titles a domestic cup and guided the team to CAF Champions league group stages this year.

Zesco United would like to acknowledge receiving Media reports suggesting that head Coach, George Lwandamina is in Tanzania having talks and at the verge of signing a two year contract with Young Africans Sporting Club.
Lwandamina has a three year running contract
that expires in January 2017 and the club has not entered into negotiations to have the contract extended and Lwandamina has not
communicated his intentions at the end of the
contract.
As far as the Club is concerned, Lwandamina is in Monze attending a family bereavement as he
stated on Sunday when he sought permission to leave from the Team Manager, Mr Mabvuto Banda and is expected to return to camp today for the midweek rescheduled game against Nkwazi FC in Lusaka tomorrow.
Zesco United would like to state that if indeed
these media reports are true, Lwandamina will be in breach of his contract with the club, we believe he is a professional and is expected to behave as such.
We believe that he is aware of his contractual
obligations and implications of a possible breach.
