Lusaka Tigers 1-2 ZESCO United
ZESCO are not giving up the title hunt as long as there is that little hope, they will continue pushing. The defending champions came from behind at Independence Stadium in a week 27 rescheduled fixture played at independence Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Emmanuel Kabasa scored the first goal of the game before Bernard Mapili equalized for the defending Champions , take note that was Bernard Mapili first goal this season while Emmanuel Kabasa recorded his second. Another first time scorer was Misheck Chaila who scored the winner just before the close of the first half to send ZESCO United to third position above Power Dynamos and 9 points behind Nkana.
It’s a good win for ZESCO United who play Mufulira Wanderers on Sunday and a big boost for Tenant Chembo who bags six out six points after George Chicken Lwandamina left the club. Bernard and Chaila became the 10th and 11th players respectively to score for ZESCO United this season and the team will need goals from every part of the pitch to fight for the top two position.
Do you think ZESCO United can do the impossible and defend this title ?
For Lusaka Tigers, its another bad result and are now remaining with two games before they wrap up the 2016 super league season. Those last two games are against Power Dynamos and Kabwe Warriors.
Congratulations ZESCO UNITED
