CAF CONFEDERATION CUP MATCH DAY THREE
ZESCO United Vs Recreativo do Libolo
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
15:00hrs
2017 semi finalists in CAF Champions league in Zambia’s representatives Zesco United, are slowly realising that the less fancied Caf Confederation Cup is not kids play.
This after they return to battle at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
With all the four teams are on three points having won one and lost one in their first two encounters, the group is anyones game at this stage.
Both Zesco United and Recreativo Do Libolo got their Group C campaigns up to brilliant starts but surprise results in the second round saw them go up against each other to gain a crucial advantage in the group.
Zesco United are the home team and that should give them the slight advantage and with deadly strikers in Jesse Were and Iddriss Mbombo, one wouldn’t put it past them to win this game.
But they have a terrible record this season in the league and CAF so far. They need to up their game and start giving hope to their fans and exco for the good job they do to make sure Zesco is where it is.
As far as Libolo are concerned, they have a tough task on their hands but certainly it is not beyond them.
Libolo side are not as bad as perceived and this second game away from home is crucial for them if they want to end up in the top two.
Both teams will hope a win will see them assume control of the group while waiting for what happens in the other encounter involving Al Hilal and Smouha.
It all makes for an exciting clash where Libolo have an incentive to win as well, considering that both have the same points but Zesco be at home will be hoping to do that emphatically before the match starts.
My Prediction: Zesco United 1-0 Recreativo Do Libolo
