ZESCO United Football Club has confirmed the signing of Red Arrows captain Bruce Musakanya on a two-year loan deal subject to completing medicals.
The club announced the arrival of Musakanya on its website on Saturday
ZESCO United Football Club Technical Chairman, Peter Mutale described Musakanya as an intelligent player who will make an instant impact at the club.
“It’s with profound excitement that we welcome Bruce Musakanya from Red Arrows. Musakanya has signed a two-year loan deal with us. Bruce is an exciting talent, experienced, skilful, intelligent on and off the ball. He will add great quality to our team. We are excited that this deal has been concluded. It is our aim to comeback stronger next season,” Mutale said.
Bruce Musakanya is a Zambian International player and becomes Zesco United’s first signing in the window as the Ndola side looks to regain the title which was won by Nkana. Team Ya Ziko are also looking to get back to continental football after missing out for the first time in eight years.
Musakanya has his eyes set on helping Zesco United regain its lost positions.
“I am very excited to sign for a big club like ZESCO United Football Club. My aim is to work hard and help the team win the league and qualify for CAF next season.
It was unfortunate that the team didn’t qualify for continental football owing to the fact that the league ended prematurely due to COVID-19.”
Musakanya’s mission is to win a league title with ZESCO United, an opportunity that has eluded him for many years.
“It is my mission to win my first career league title with ZESCO United. This is a big opportunity for me. I will work hard to make everyone happy at the club.”
