Zesco United sent out a resounding statement on Wednesday afternoon as they brushed aside their town mates in Buildcon 1-0 when fellow chasers hoped they would drop points. They’ll be looking to maintain their perfect recent form currently that has seen them open up a five-point lead.
Forest Rangers are hardly noted for their expansive football and will instead turn to defensive rigidity and physical presence to try and nick a result.
But if there’s one team with the firepower to break down a well-drilled rear-guard it’s Zesco United on a very good day. That Boy Enock is gathering headlines while Ching’andu looks set to continue his prowess. Ching’andu who had started the season hot scored the only goal on Wednesday against Buildcon. He may, of course, start on Saturday, but Tenant Chembo can equally choose to ease him back towards 90 minutes safe in the knowledge that his other forwards are more than capable.
Is there a more luxurious substitute in Zambian football?
Forest Rangers have had a descent season, and I think Perry has done very well as I think they are one team that plays good football this season and Zesco United is aware of their threat.
It is difficult to see them getting anything out of this game, especially given the fact that Zesco is turning the tide at the right time and they have seen the promised land close at hand. Zesco will be in no mercy mood.
Zesco will win this one.
