Zambian League Champions Zesco United has ropped in kenyan International midfield engine Teddy Akumu on a 2 year deal.The deal was signed today after both party agreed terms at a Ndola Hotel.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Nation from Ndola,a happy Akumu was elited to be part of the Zambian giants.
‘This is a fresh challenge and I am looking forward to it. My friend Calabar (David Owino) has told me good things about the club and I am not worried at all about coping well with the club management,” said the former Gor Mahia midfielder.
“The club management has spoken with me and they have emphasised the fact that they need to perform well in the Caf Champions League next year. That is a tough challenge, and I just hope that I will settle in fast and perform well.
“I thank everybody at Al Khartoum especially the fans and coach Kwesi Appiah who gave me the opportunity to grow to this level.” Akumu told Daily Nation.
He joins David Owino Odhiambo at the club.Another kenyan Jacob keli is at Kitwe based Nkana which is a few kilometres from Ndola.Both cities are within the copperbelt region.
