Red Arrows 1-4 ZESCO United
ZESCO United developed their fluidity in their week 21 rescheduled FAZ MTN Super League game played on Tuesday at Nkoloma Stadium against Red Arrows. It was a master class second half display by ZESCO United that saw the defending champions score three goals in the second half after leading 1-0 through a Jesse Were penalty scored in the first Half.
Red Arrows competed in the first half but could not contain the pressure from ZESCO United as they scored at will to continue the catch up of as many number of games to play for the defending Champions.
After the Jesse Were goal in the second half the other goal scorers for ZESCO United included , Cletus Chita Chama another one from Jesse Were and a fourth from Iddriss Mbombo.
Francis Kombe who came in for Festus Mbewe scored a consolation via a penalty in the dying minutes of the game.
ZESCO United remain fourth, four points behind Power Dynamos with a 7 games in hand and that just shows that ZESCO is back to fight for the title they won in 2014 and 2015.
THEY ARE BACK
ZESCO in the pursuit for ZANACO will play ZANACO in a week 29 rescheduled game at Sunset Stadium. Should they win that tie, then, just then….. we should expect an epic end to the 2016 title race that looked so clearer a couple of weeks ago.
