Zesco United’s coach George ”Chicken” Lwandamina has Said the team will not relax ahead of the return leg in Guinea according to a post on their official website.
Zesco United coach George Lwandamina has cautioned that CAF Champions League tie against Horoya AC is far from over until the final whistle this Sunday’s last leg.
Zesco crushed their guests from Guinea 4-1 in a first round, first leg match at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola
on March 12.
The win handed Zesco a healthy advantage heading into the March 20 final leg fixture in Conakry that will decide who goes through to April’s pre-group round of the competition.
“This is just the first half and we cannot say we are home and dry.We still have another 45 minutes to play,” Lwandamina said.
“It is not yet over. This is just the first half and that in itself tells me that we are not going to relax and feel that the 4-1 is enough.
“We still have the last half and I am sure that will things will unfold in the away game and that is where the qualification will be pronounced.”
Zesco need only an away draw this coming weekend to ensure their passage to the next round.
winner over both legs will take on either Stade Malien of Mali or Cameroon’s Cotonsport.Stade Malien lead 2-0 from the first leg played on Saturday in Bamako.
