Khereddine Zetchi has been elected as Federation of Algerian Football President to succeed Mohamed Rouaroua who occupied the seat since 2009.

Zetchi who is the President of an Algerian league 2 side Paradou AC was elected unopposed–because other candidates were rejected by the Executive Council.

ASO Chlef President Abdelkrim Medouar was amongst the people that saw their candidature rejected by the Executive Council.

Meanwhile, Rouaroua announced early this year that he will not run another term for the FAF Presidency.

Zetchi, launched a very successful academy and plans to invest heavily into youth football under his tenure–unlike his predecessor who is believed to have neglected youth football.
