Zimbabwe FA President Dr. Philip Chiyangwa has dismissed as untrue media claims that he embezzled $2 million FIFA money meant for the organization saying no money has been lost.

Chiyangwa has also threatened to sue pan African pay television giants Supersport for “spreading falsehoods against him.”

“There is no truth in the claims, there is no missing money,” the COSAFA president told Soka25east.

He added: “I have had to do financial engineering at the organization to allow direct and indirect funding. FIFA money comes after an audit if it does and we have not had any issues,”

“I basically run the organization from my funds and those from well-wishers.”

Chiyasngwa has taken offense with Supersport’s magazine show “Soccer Africa” for airing the claims last night “without proof.”

He has instructed his lawyers to sue for defamation.

“We are suing them; they have to provide proof of what I hear they are peddling,” Chiyangwa said.

“You have a whole Africa listening to you making false claims, scandalizing people based upon perpetual falsehoods coming from a cabal of bribe taking journalists sponsored by my political enemies in Zimbabwe,” he added.
