Zimbabwe hold Cameroon in Afcon Qualifier

Zimbabwe held Cameroon to a 0-0 draw in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualification Group J match at the Mandela National Stadium in Uganda on Tuesday evening.

The draw sees the Warriors placed third in the group standings having drawn their first two games, while the Indomitable Lions are sitting second in the Group J table having recorded a win and a draw.

The Warriors got off to a good start and they created the first real chance of the game when Marshall Munetsi set up Khama Billiat who missed the target four minutes into the match.

The Indomitable Lions finished the first-half strongly and they had a chance to break the deadlock in the 44th minute, but Vincent Aboubakar ballooned his effort over the crossbar. The score was 0-0 at the interval.
Andre Onana became the busier of the two goalkeepers after the restart as the Manchester United star denied Munetsi whose headed attempt lacked power in the 57th minute.
Billiat was also denied by Onana who pulled off a great save to deny the Yadah FC forward in the 64th minute, and ultimately, the score ended in a 0-0 draw as Zimbabwe, and Cameroon shared the spoils.
