Dynamos have made the first foreign signing this year following the arrival of Portuguese midfielder Carlos Branco.
Branco arrived in Harare on Friday and warmed-up with the rest of the squad on Sunday before the ZNA Charities Shield clash with ZPC Kariba.
He joins Dynamos from Portuguese third division side AE Óbidos.
Soon after his arrival in Harare, Branco declared his desire to help Dynamos reclaim the league title from Chicken Inn.
The former Leicester City and Stoke City academy player expressed his wish to play in the Caf Champions League as springboard to sign for a big European club.
“I have come here to win the league,” he was quoted as saying in local media.
“I like new adventures and new challenges and my challenge here is to help the club win the Caf Champions League and that has to be preceded by local league glory.
“Obviously, it’s the dream of footballers to play for the European giants and I also need that. You never know how this will end but as I took the decision to come here, my hope was that this is the best move for my career.
“I know Jorge is a good coach and he told me of his big dreams here and I hope to achieve big things with him and help the football club.”
Dynamos coach Paulo Jorge Silva is this week expected to make his second foreign signing by bringing in a Nigerian forward.
