KPL sides Nakumatt FC and Zoo Kericho are on the verge of being relegated to the second tier after the KPL Governing Council today suspended the Twp clubs from the KPL
The decision to suspend the clubs was reached out today after an earlier court ruling yesterday where a petition by former FKF President Sam Nyamweya was allowed
In the petition number 59/2017 the court ruled that the ealier agreement to have the 16 teams stand and that the addition of two other trams were null and void
The respondents Sports Tribunal (1st),FKF as the second and KPL as third were served with the ruling
In their statement today ,KPL stated that in the spirit of adhering to the rule of law they decided to suspend the two clubs with immediate effect
This decision means the weekend clashes involving the two trams stands suspended and the KPL will only have 16 teams
he ruling directed that the 14 teams that formed the KPL and the two promoted Nzoia United and Kariobangi Sharks remain .
Zoo Kericho and Nakumatt were promoted to the top tier after FKF insisted that the top tier should have 18 teams with KPL reluctant a fued that led to the withdrawal of Supersport
