Zimbabwe’s top flight football club Bulawayo City FC has suspended coach Philani Ncube over match-fixing allegations.

A statement from the club said that they have decided to suspend the coach and his technical team including his assistant Farai Mujokoro,Kit manager Gift Mvala until when they will be done with investigations.

The trio is alleged to have attempted to try and pay Border Strikers goalkeeper Talent Sande who revealed the plot to Border Stickers officials who set up a trap to expose the incident.

Zimbabwe police have already questioned the trio with Premier Soccer League official set to punish Bulawayo City.

Match fixing scandals have hit Zimbabwe football for long with some allegations rocking even the national team.

Former ZIFA chief executive Henrietta Rushwaya is still facing bribery charges for allegedly organizing the Limpopogate match fixing scandal with accomplices for attempting to bribe Zimbabwe national soccer team players to lose games against Swaziland.

In 2012 thirteen Zimbabwean football officials and players were banned for life for their alleged involvement in the biggest match fixing scandal to rock Zimbabwe football known as Asiagate.
