Former Senegalese Sports Ministers have set up a national committee to support the candidacy of Augustin Senghor for the presidency of CAF.
This initiative of the former Minister of Sports Malick Gackou was approved by Minister Matar Ba who was quick to gather around him several Senegalese sport players in particular, the former Prime Minister Souleymane Ndene Ndiaye, the vice-president of the National Assembly Abdoulaye Makhtar Diop, former sports ministers Mbagnick ndiaye, Malick Gackou, Mamadou Lamine Keita, minister advisers Ndongo Ndiaye, Youssou Ndour, and former minister Serigne Mbacke Ndiaye.
In addition to these ministers, were also present the former internationals Elhadji Diouf, Kalidou Fadiga, the architect Pierre Goudiaby Atepa, the President of the ANPS Abdoulaye Thiam, the world champion of Taekwando Balla Dieye, the Olympic champion Amadou Dia Ba and the vice- president of CNOSS Issa Mboup.
The committee has promised to totally invest in the electoral campaign so that President Augustin Senghor is brought to the head of the main body of continental football on the evening of March 12, 2021.
Support of this committee comes after that of President Macky Sall, the Senegalese national Olympic sports committee, the FSF executive committee and several Senegalese football structures.
