The National Team of Morocco arrived to a thunderous welcome following a resounding and historic performance at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Atlas Lions arrived landed in Rabat on Tuesday evening and proceeded to a colourful bus parade with huge crowds taking to the streets to welcome the team.

Joyful celebration, music and dancing filled the atmosphere as the team greeted their fans on an open bus ride in Rabat.

Walid Regragui and his team made history in Qatar by becoming the first African team to reach the Semi-finals.

On the road to the Semi-finals Morocco were top of the Group after beating Belgium and Canada while getting a draw against Croatia.

They beat Spain in a penalty shootout in the Round of 16 and then saw off Portugal 1-0 in the Quarterfinals to face the defending Champions in the Semi-finals.

Unfortunately, the Atlas Lions lost 2-0  and had to settle for a third place playoff against Croatia. The Croatian team triumphed 2-1 meaning Morocco were placed 4th in the World Cup.
