Nkana football club talisman Walter Bwalya has been nominated for the player of the year award after his goal scoring heroics with Nkana.
The nominations were announced at a press briefing held at Football House on Wednesday, December 14 by FAZ Head of Adminisration and Competitions Mr Julio Chiluba
Mr Chiluba stated that there were three nominees per award category which included Footballer of the Year, Most Disciplined Player of the Year, Young Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Best Referee of the Year and Best Assistant Referee of the Year.
Walter Bwalya who scored 24 league goals will also receive the Top Scorers’ Award .He will have to shield off competition from League wining captain Ziyo Tembo and Zesco United’s defending midfielder Mischeck Chaila.
FAZ President Andrew Kamanga will also present a special FAZ President’s Award to a player who deserves special recognition.
The winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremony scheduled for Hotel Inter-Continental on December 20.
