18th June 2016 (Saturday)
Lumwana Radiants Vs Power Dynamos
Lumwana Grounds
15:0hrs
This will be a big game for Lumwana Radiants fans who have decided to give a lift to the players by giving the prize to the man of the match voted by soccer fans during the match.
Without a doubt this will lift the spirit of the players knowing that the fans are sorely behind them.
It’s Power Dynamos the visitor straight from a 2-1 victory at home to Kabwe Warriors and the challenge that Power
Dynamos have is to win games away. That is still the record they have to break this weekend in Lumwana. Lumwana on the other hand are very good at home and they have only lost one game at home to ZANACO.
Lumwana still in the relegation zone have to win this game to have any chance of getting off the relegation zone.
Even a draw wouldn’t be enough as their goal difference is the worst of the candidates of relegation zone this weekend. Power Dynamos can go this weekend with a win as ZESCO is off and they will be hoping GBF lose to Forest Rangers on Sunday.
For this game I don’t seem to see a winner. There is so much of a draw written on this game.
MY VERDICT: Lumwana Radiants 1-1 Power Dynamos

Kabwe Warriors Vs Lusaka Tigers
Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium
15:00hrs
Kabwe Warriors travelled to Power Dynamos and came back with a loss but very proud in how they had approached the game.
I think Fatty is on the right track all of a sudden and he needs to add up a few players this June. Otherwise Kabwe Warriors are improving game after game.
They host Lusaka Tigers coming from a rare victory against Mufulira Blackpool at Independence Stadium last weekend.
This another tough encounter for Lusaka Tigers and I don’t think they will get anything in this encounter.
Kabwe Warriors is very strong at home and I don’t think Tigers can withstand that pressure.
MY VERDICT: Kabwe Warriors 3-0 Lusaka Tigers

NAPSA Stars Vs Nakambala Leopards
Woodlands Stadium
15:00hrs
I know of six games played between these two sides in the Super League with Napsa winning two, three draws and one win for Nakambala Leopards.
Last Season NAPSA failed to beat Nakambala Leopards as the Leopards finally grabbed their first win in Mazabuka via a 1-0 victory.
The game in Lusaka ended 0-0. I don’t see much difference this season as we are expecting a much closed game in this fixture and if we shall have a winner it will be very close to call.
Nakambala are way out of the relegation zone while NAPSA starts this weekend in relegation zone. NAPSA have drawn their last three games before that loss at home to Lusaka Dynamos in week 11.
Nakambala Leopards are coming from a victory against Lumwana Radiants and they have momentum but NAPSA is becoming a very difficult side to play against.
Playing at home am thinking they can just sneak it but you wonder where the goals will come from.
MY VERDICT: NAPSA 1-0 Nakambala Leopards

Mufulira Blackpool Vs Nchanga Rangers
John Kachofa Stadium
15:00hrs
Mufulira Blackpool remains the only team in the League without a win this season and having watched them play against Lusaka Tigers in Week 15, I don’t see them surviving this season. It may be early to say but I think it’s done, Mufulira Blackpool is going back to Zone Two next season. They really look off and out of thought.
They are already eight points adrift of Lusaka Dynamos and they need a perfect run to catch the other teams in the relegation zone.
They play Nchanga Rangers, a team placed 10th position on the log with all statistics pointing to FIVE.
Nchanga Rangers is among the four teams with 5 wins, 5 Draws and 5 losses adding up to 20 points.
This will be the sixth loss for Nchanga Rangers. I feel the time for Mufulira Blackpool to get a win is now.
They didn’t play bad against Kabwe Warriors at home and I think they will finally grab this one because Nchanga Rangers is just not consistence.
MY VERDICT: Mufulira Blackpool 1-0 Nchanga Rangers

Green Eagles Vs ZANACO
Independence Stadium-Choma
15:00hrs
The league leaders travel to Choma to take on the one goal specialists in Green Eagles. ZANACO is the visitor grinding results everywhere they go and have the meanest defence in the league alongside ZESCO United.
They have only allowed five goals and have the sharpest striking force having scored 24 goals.
Green Eagles will have a busy day as ZANACO without a doubt seem to be the best team at the moment in the league.
Last 10 games in the league, Zanaco has 7 wins and three of those wins were in Choma, three draws and Green Eagles are yet to beat ZANACO and this is not happening in this game.
But I think with too much expectations of a win from the Bankers, Green Eagles is also capable of spoiling the party despite the poor run they have against ZANACO.
MY VERDICT: Green Eagles 0-0 ZANACO

Red Arrows Vs Nkana
Nkoloma Stadium
15:00hrs
A big game for both teams and Red Arrows with a very good head to head against Nkana will be looking at this game as an opportunity to turn their season round which is becoming un acceptable to its followers.
There has been interesting fixtures between these two teams and the fans will hope this is another good game of football on the show.
In the last 14 games between the two Red Arrows has 11 wins, Nkana has three and 4 are draws. Nkana has won two games at Nkoloma and that was in 2014 via a 3-0 score line and 2-1 in 2008 and they will look to that as motivational enough to come and grab the three points at Nkoloma.
Last season the two teams drew at Nkoloma and Nkana lost 1-0 in Kitwe.
Coming to this game Red Arrows is in danger of getting into relegation should they lose and other results go against them while Nkana will be hoping to win after their 1-0 loss to ZESCO left them losing the top slot the one they held from the start of the season. It’s most likely that we may experience a draw too in this encounter as both teams will be cautious.
Red Arrows has kept 6 clean sheets so far this season while Nkana has 5. Nkana’s biggest victory to date this season is 3-0 against Lusaka Dynamos in Kitwe while the biggest victory for Red Arrows remains 1-0 against Nakambala, Forest Rangers and Green Eagles (Those are the only wins for Red Arrows) coupled with 7 draws and four loses.
Tightly contested encounter and the best team will come the day. Nkana having had issues to beat Red Arrows will get a point in this encounter because Red Arrows don’t know how to win games this season.
MY VERDICT: Red Arrows 1-1 Nkana

Forest Rangers Vs Green Buffaloes
Levy Mwanawasa Stadium
15:00hrs
Live on Supersport
Green Buffaloes blew a chance of going joint leaders in the mid-week against ZANACO when they lost 1-0 at Independence Stadium. They are away to Forest Rangers the team they have beaten six times, drew four times and lost five times in the last 15 games in the league.
Last season GBFC did a double against Forest Rangers, Beating Forest 3-0 away and 1-0 in Lusaka.
But Forest Rangers is strong at defence this season after Patrick Phiri took over and they will be strong again in this encounter.
But then I don’t think Forest Rangers play very comfortable at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
They don’t look that comfortable and am yet to understand the challenge. Therefore I think GBFC can compete in this fixture and grab something off Forest Rangers.
MY VERDICT: Forest Rangers 0-0 Green Buffaloes
LET’S SEE WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE GAMES
