ZANACO OPEN SIX POINT LEAD AS NKANA LOSE AGAIN
***************************
WINNERS
ZANACO, NCHANGA RANGERS, , RED ARROWS, NAPSA, ZANACO, FOREST RANGERS AND NKWAZI
ZANACO
Currently deserve to be where they are and we can all say they are the best team in the Super League at the moment. Another 3-1 victory away in Choma and that means they open a six point lead at the top. We had new goal scorers from ZANACO in Fackson Kapumbu. Aubrey Funga and Ernest Mbewe. They were too good against Green Eagles and for now let’s all stand up and applaud ZANACO. Can they maintain this lead until the end of the season is the big question people will be asking?
NCHANGA RANGERS
Piled more misery on Mufulira Blackpool and two goals from Clement Mwape and Harrison Kaonga were enough to take Nchanga Rangers 9th same points with Kabwe Warriors and Nkwazi but have an inferior goal difference.
FOREST RANGERS
Patrick Phiri continued with the very good run for Forest Rangers and the victim in week 16 was GBFC. What a good run for Forest and they end week 16 on sixth position.
KABWE WARRIORS
Kabwe Warriors won their sixth game of the season beating Lusaka Tigers 2-0 in Kabwe a game that had Jacob Phiri score a brace and seriously making a serious statement that Kabwe Warriors no longer belong to the zones. Warriors end the week on 8th position.
NAPSA
One of the games of the weekend was always going to be NAPSA Vs Nakambala looking at what the teams are doing in the league recently and NAPSA took advantage with a lone goal from Brian Lubaba. Again, NAPSA are out of the relegation zone and will be hoping they move out completely in fear of going back to the zones.
NKWAZI
Nkwazi last won the game against Kabwe Warriors in week 12 and there playing at home against Lusaka Dynamos with all challenges was going to be a serious motivation for the Policemen and it worked. Three points in bag thanks to the two goals from Chipungu Musuku, and Edward Mwamba. They end the week on 7th position one point behind Forest Rangers.
RED ARROWS
After a long time Red Arrows are in the category of winners and the victim was Nkana. Lubinda Mundiya with the goal that means so much to the Airmen and pushed Red Arrows 11th with a game in hand. They are away to Mufulira Wanderers next and that is a big one.

DRAWS
LUMWANA RADIANTS 0-0 POWER DYNAMOS
No goals scored in Lumwana as the game ended goalless and with both sides having chances and maybe just maybe Power Dynamos will feel hurt done. But the final result was 0-0. Not too good for both teams and Lumwana Radiants remain in the relegation and Power Dynamos who are hoping to get that berth in the CAF competition lost another chance to seriously trouble the top three.

LOSSES
LUSAKA TIGERS,
That’s what defines Lusaka Tigers, play well this week and drop points on the road. Another loss to Kabwe Warriors means Lusaka Tigers are just two points from relegation.
GREEN EAGLES
Pushed into relegation again with the loss at home to league leaders ZANACO. After scoring first they allowed ZANACO to come back strong in the second half and grab the three points.
GREEN BUFFALOES
Another loss and nothing much but to say things aren’t going too well after that loss to Lumwana. GBFC is being tipped as one team that can have a chance for the title but such results don’t win the league. Forest went smiling and the Soldiers will have to hope for the better in week 17.
LUSAKA DYNAMOS
Lusaka Dynamos lose their seventh game of the season and they have now allowed 18 goals and only scored 8. They remain in the relegation zone and for now it looks very difficult to leave that zone.
NAKAMBALA
Good defence and it was going to be a game of less goals. Brian Lubaba punished Nakambala and they end the week on 10th position.
MUFULIRA BLACKPOOL
Played 16, won zero, drew six and lost ten. Scored five and allowed 26. That’s enough to describe Mufulira Blackpool and enough proof that the team is not good enough to compete in the super league. Not this season. Blackpool are going down.
NKANA
Whatever is happening with Nkana is something only players could explain. That dependency on Walter Bwalya has caught up by Nkana and it can no longer offer any hope for the 13th title, two loses on the bounce is as bad as it can go. For now Nkana is playing like a team that was not league leaders two weeks ago. Seriously the EXCO should take the blame for this poor showing, how a team withdraws their coach and within a week hand him back to the national team. I couldn’t understand that logic. It’s those decisions that is making Nkana lose the grip. For now, the Promised Land looks to be getting off the eyes of Nkana.

MY STATISTICS FOR WEEK NINE
Number of Goals scored: 13
BEST TEAM OF WEEK SIX FOR ME
ZANACO
The win away in Choma and coming from behind to win the tie 3-1 is a team ready to fight for the title and they get my vote as the best team of week 16. WELL DONE BANKERS.
MOST IMPROVED
FOREST RANGERS
I will go for Forest Rangers without a doubt who this week dented that hope for GBFC to have serious hopes for the title
*****************************
MOST DISAPPOINTING TEAM
MUFULIRA BLACKPOOL
It’s just not happening and it’s seriously the most disappointing team for me. Losing 10 games by week 16 is not what we expect in the Super League.

FIGHT RELEGATION
LUSAKA DYNAMOS
With that loss Lusaka Tigers continues fighting relegation alongside Mufulira Blackpool.
